Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective August 28, 2026
1. You are not charged until pickup is confirmed
When you buy an item on Brocur, your payment method is securely saved with our payment processor, Stripe, and a temporary hold is placed on your card in connection with the scheduled pickup. A hold is not a charge. Your card is charged only after both you and the seller confirm in the app that you picked the item up. This structure is the foundation of this policy: before pickup, there is nothing to refund.
2. Cancelling before pickup
You or the seller may cancel at any time before pickup is confirmed, in the app, without any fee. Any pending hold on your card is released, and you are not charged. If the pickup does not happen before the transaction deadline shown in the app, the transaction expires automatically with the same effect. Depending on your bank, a released hold may take a few business days to disappear from your statement.
3. Inspect at pickup
Because every Brocur sale is an in-person, local pickup of a used item, you can and should inspect the item before confirming pickup. If the item is not as described, do not confirm pickup — you may simply decline the item and cancel; you will not be charged. Confirming pickup in the app is your acceptance of the item and authorizes the charge to your card.
4. After pickup: sales are final, with an issue process
Sales are final once pickup is confirmed, except as required by applicable law. If you discover a problem after pickup — for example, a defect that could not reasonably be seen at pickup or an item that is materially different from its listing — open an issue with Brocur support at websitecontact@brocur.net within 3 days of pickup. We will review the issue with both parties. Where a refund is warranted, it is issued by the seller as the merchant of record, and Brocur facilitates the process, including refunding Brocur's own fees and the associated sales tax where a full refund is made.
5. Returns
Brocur transactions do not involve shipping, so there is no return-shipping process. Where Brocur support determines a post-pickup refund is warranted under Section 4, return of the item is arranged directly between buyer and seller as part of the resolution.
6. Card disputes
If you believe a charge is in error, contact Brocur support first — most issues are resolved fastest through the issue process above. You always retain any dispute rights provided by your card issuer.
